01 · Real provenance
Not coastal-themed. Coastal-built.
OBX Tote Co. was founded by a seventh-generation Outer Banks native raised on Hatteras Island. The pony mark, the Kinnakeet Red color, the Ocratote name — none of it is borrowed. Customers who know the difference (and they do) will spot it from across the room.
02 · Hand-made, small batch
Quality, not quantity.
Every product is hand-finished in small batches. Even staples are produced just a few at a time. That means your shelf isn't competing with a thousand other shelves carrying the same SKU. It means every restock is a deliberate decision, not a rubber stamp.
03 · Limited drops
Scarcity is the operating model.
One-of-a-Kind totes, Charter Captain Series tributes, Beach Cottage colorways — these are made-once, numbered, and not restocked. When customers see a sold-out colorway, they don't get angry. They check back tomorrow. That's the kind of customer your shop wants on its mailing list.
04 · Reseller protection
We protect our partners.
We do not over-distribute. In any given coastal market we'll partner with a handful of retailers — not every shop on the boardwalk. Resellers receive territorial consideration, MAP pricing protection, and first access to limited runs before they list on our DTC site.
05 · Margin that respects the work
Premium product, premium margin.
MSRP positions the brand as a premium coastal lifestyle line — Ocratote $95, Coastal Gear weekenders $245+, Chunky Yarn Blankets $229. Wholesale pricing is structured to give resellers a healthy margin on a product that doesn't get marked down.
06 · Story-led merchandising
Customers buy the story too.
Every product comes with a story — the Ocratote, the Wild Pony, the Charter Captain Series, the Beach Cottage Series. We provide point-of-sale cards, story signage, and visual merchandising support so the story travels with the product onto your shelf.

Program Terms
Clean and predictable.
- Minimum opening order
- $1,500 wholesale across SKUs. Reorders no minimum.
- Wholesale pricing
- Standard 50% off MSRP. Volume tiers available for committed accounts.
- MAP policy
- Strict MAP pricing protected for all accounts. We don't allow undercutting.
- Territory
- Limited density per coastal market. We protect existing resellers from over-distribution in their immediate trade zone.
- Limited Run access
- Resellers in good standing receive first access to Charter Captain Series, Beach Cottage Series, and One-of-a-Kind drops before public release.
- Lead time
- 3–5 weeks from PO to ship for stock items; 6–8 weeks for special colorways and custom blends.
- Payment terms
- Net 30 for accounts with established history. Credit card or wire on opening order.
- Marketing support
- Photography library, point-of-sale cards, story signage, and co-branded social content available to all approved resellers.

Tell us about your shop. We read every application personally. Approval typically takes 5–7 business days. Approved resellers receive login credentials to the wholesale portal where they can place orders, review limited-run availability, and download the asset library.
